• How
does the Air Comfort Seating System work?
The Air Comfort Seating System is comprised of 2 or more pressure-less air filled bags that work to evenly distribute the occupant's weight, thereby ensuring there are no main pressure points that can restrict circulation. When a patient is seated or lying in the bed, the air in the bags will mould to the occupant's body shape. A thin layer of air ensures the occupant experiences drastically reduced seating pressure. The system has been proven to aid in the treatment and prevention of Pressure Sores (Decubitus Ulcers) and other pressure related ailments.
How do I know which
product is suitable?
There are two main factors in determining which product is suitable. • The height and weigh of the occupant. Refer to our Product specifications for recommended height and weight restrictions of each product. • The occupant's specific needs / condition . Air Comfort mobile chair/beds are designed for fully dependant patients with very limited mobility. Patient's requirements can vary greatly depending on their specific condition. A qualified Occupational Therapist, Doctor or Physiotherapist should always be consulted before deciding which of these products is most suitable.
