XXL Shower Commode Wheeler
Features
This chair is designed for easy access, independence and safety. Using a 5cm high , PU foam seat, and 7cm free space to the armrests allows the body mass to fall down instead of fading out to the sides. The footrest is usually the weak point. Here, each footrest is capable of carrying 100kg. They are also side/width adjustable, so people with fat-tissue on the inside of the legs can sit with legs apart, (up to 110cm) and still have foot support The split toilet seat enables correct use of the chair and eases access for care-givers. Bariatric users do not normally have the ability to reach back to the armrest. These armrests, therefore have a length of 64cm and protrude 7cm beyond the front of the seat. More users will be able to help themselves into and out from the seat, minimising manual handling problems for carers. Butterfly arms are available if needed and add more than 10cm to the seating width. The space between the backrest and seat has a clearance of 32cm. This gives space for a bulbous gluteal region, and gives carers more space to reach slings and to position the user appropriately.

While the above shows common examples of adaptations from standard, it is not intended to be a complete list, and virtually anything is possible.
XXL Shower Commode
The standard
XXL shower commode is in almost every respect identical to the Wheeler above,
but where space is at a premium, the large rear wheels are replaced by
castors. This gives improved manoeuvrability, and a narrower profile
(20cm reduction in overall width). All other dimensions and
specifications are as for the Wheeler above.
