Like the 393 manual, the 393 Electric is designed as a bedside chair for a patient who is transferred by hoist.  The Electric 393 has the same features as the manual, but the adjustments are electrically powered.  In addition, the electric model has independently adjusted legrests.

Integrated Pressure Relief Seat

This option includes a special "Handiflow" pocket which is integrated into the seat.  This adds a fluid pouch to the dense foam (50 kg/cubic mtr), seat base, and is available on all models of the 363 chair.     This seat has been specially developed to cope with the extra weight and provides optimal pressure distribution, stability and effective protection against bedsores on patients with low mobility

This specialist rest-chair is designed to meet the need for a heavy-duty  bedside chair for the hospital and care environment, where the patient is transferred by hoist.  It is available in two versions; the wheeled (as picture) has a footrest, and125mm castors, two of which are braked.  Pushing handles are integrated into the rear of the backrest.  The non-wheeled version does not come with a footrest, but all other features are the same as the wheeled version.

Both models have a backrest with gas adjusted angle, height adjustable armrests, with polyurethane pads, (leather option available) and  integral rear manouevring handles. 

The impermeable covering guards against faecal or urinary fluid absorpsion, and allows for easy cleaning, minimising the risk of infection transfer
