XXL Eclipse - 270kg or 450kg

The frame is designed to that most of the weight is carried by the rear wheels.  These are specially made for this wheelchair.  They are extra hard and solid making propulsion and steering unbelievably easy, with very little loss of energy. The seat pan is also solid.  This facilitates a good posture and activeness in the chair, rather than using canvas which can stretch under the weight.

The chair has adjustable seat depth, seat height, seat to floor angle, and seat to back angle, making it easy to adjust to any user.  It also increases the ability of the user to remain active in propellling the chair, to get in and out, and even to walk the chair.

The back is constructed so that users with a protruding behind can still get good lumbar spine support.

Front wheels are placed in front of the seat pan, providing anterior anti-tip.  This is a very important consideration when most bariatric users have a lot of weight in front of them, and aids the user to enter and leave the chair.

XXL Eclipse Tilt - Max User Weight 270kg

The Eclipse Tilt is in most respects identical to the standard 270kg Eclipse above, but, for users needing more support.   It has a mechanism allowing up to 30degrees of tilt for optimal positioning.  The tilt uplift force is adjustable allowing easy tilt, regardless of user weight.

XXL Minimaxx Folding Wheelchair - 325kg (51stone) User capacity

The Minimaxx folds easily and is easy to transport.  The folding system is easy to operate, but still gives exceptional support to the seat.  The design makes the unfolded chair very rigid, and much more stable than normal folding chairs.

The Minimaxx drives very well because of the positioning of the wheels. The rear wheels carry much of the user's weight making it much easier for the user to push. The castor wheels are extended to the front to provide anti-tip.

The low seat height makes it easy to access the chair and still propel it.

Attendant push handles are designed so that the carer can easily use his/her body to turn and push the chair.  The padded handles are angled to put as little strain as possible on the carer's wrists and shoulders.

XXL Wheelchair Cushions

This cushion is developed exclusively for bariatric user who need extended use.  The cushion is made from visco-elastic foam on top, with springs cut into the underbase of the foam.

The patented system of springs distributes the pressure to a larger surface.

The cushion is 11cm high and has a 2-way stretch vapour permeable incontinence cover on a non-slip base.

The Contour is a very high end cushion, very useful for high risk patients in treatment or prevention of pressure sores.

Flexible, interconnected 10cm air cells allow for deep immersion into the cushion providing constant low pressure across the contact seating surface.  In addition, the cells move and shape to the contact area, providing a low shear. The low friction surface is ideal for prevention and healing of up to and including stage 4 pressure sores.

Made of high quality flame resistant latex free neoprene rubber, complete with fitted cover and hand-pump.

Designed for bariatric users at risk of developing pressure sores.

Made of a moulded base and has a sealed silicone bag in the middle, providing stability, support and unique pressure relief.
